Pyrolysis Solutions
100 kg/h, 500 kg/h,  1 000 kg/h or 2 000 kg/h

Works with: pellets, pellets and pyrolysis gas, pellets and pyrolysis oil

The ecoHORNET pyrolysis installations treat thermally and / or thermo-chemically by endothermic decomposition, in the absence of oxygen, with temperatures from 150 ° C to 900 ° C, all types of specified wastes, solids and unused liquids.

Valuable products are obtained such as: pyrolysis gas, pyrolysis oil, biochar, carbon black and other biologically neutral products, which can be used in the energy, chemical, pharmaceutical, agriculture, construction, etc. industries.

The ecoHORNET pyrolysis installation has the advantage what it processes and neutralizes the organic waste in an efficient, economic and ecologic way, resulting products which are energetically and technologically useful. Pyrolysis is a thermochemical process, with a very promising future, which decomposes and transforms the organic waste in charcoal, volatile compounds, and combustible gases. Because pyrolysis is an endothermic process,  a considerable amount of energy is required to obtain the high temperatures needed to the decomposition and volatilization of the organic compounds.

Capacity from 100 kg to 2 000 kg

Temperature between 150°C to 900°C with a single equipment.

Because of the high temperatures generated by the ecoHORNET burners, the pyrolysis installation allows the user  to adjust the process in the range starting from 150°C and up to 900°C, according with the processed material and the desired pyrolysis end-products.

Unlike the pyrolysis at low temperatures, the products obtained using high temperatures pyrolysis have a superior quality, and the content of polluting or carcinogen components (dioxins, furans etc.) is very low.

Pyrolysis gas

• Having in composition combustible gases, it is utilized for producing electric and thermal energy;
• It is especially obtained from the high temperature pyrolysis process;
• The pyrolysis installation ecoHORNET uses a part from the resulted gases for generating thermal energy in the pellets burner, and the rest of the gases for producing electric energy necessary for the entire system functioning. In that way are entirely eliminated the costs for the electric power.

Pyrolysis oil

•    It is a dark-brown colored liquid;
•    It has a chemical composition similar to that of biomass;
•    It has a higher energetic density than the solid fuels, which reduces the storage and transport costs;
•    It is used as industrial fuel as a replacement for oil and gasoline, and also in the chemical industry.

Biochar

•    The biochar is used as soil amendment;
•    The biochar stabilises the soil and it can hold in soil for thousands of years;
•    The biochar represents a possibility to deposit carbon in soil, and in that way it has the potential to contribute to the attenuation of the climatic changes by carbon sequestration;
•    The biochar enhances the soils fertility, including for the acid soils
(low pH soils), increasing agricultural productivity and offering enhanced protection against some diseases transmission.

The biochar is the best solution for non-fertile or nutrients depleted soils.

There is also a few end products we can make from it; black carbon, graphite for solar pannel etc...

Technology
The ecoHORNET installation allows the processing of the following raw materials:
  • Any kind of biomass: waste, agricultural or vegetal by-products etc.;

  • Municipal organic waste;

  • Sewage sludge;

  • Plastic waste;

  • Rubber waste;

  • Hydrocarbons-contaminated sludge;

  • Soils contaminated with organic waste.

The pyrolysis installation use organic input, chopped to 10 mm (1 cm3) or pelletized, with a humidity  of maxim 10%.

Here is a presentation of a 100kg pyrolysis unit running on pellets including

a multi-system gravitational burner patented by ecoHornet and capable

of burning any type of organic waste pellet.   Here we used 30 kg of coal

and got 6.5 liters of pyrolysis oil and about 90 minutes of pyrolysis gas.

The presentation reached 900C.  The temperature is set according to

what the user wants to obtain (oil, pyrolysis gas or biochar).

We can say that our pyrolysis units are waste treatment units.

Four 2-ton pyrolysis has been sold in London, England to produce diesel from plastic waste.

More information will be posted.

One 2-ton pyrolysis has just been sold in Romania.

More information will be posted.
